CELLSELECT Screening

The discovery of RNA interference has created the ability to perform traditional phenotypic genetic screens in formerly refractory model systems such as human cell lines. BerGenBio's high complexity subgenomic libraries are ideally suited to such screens. BerGenBio also has facilities for robotic setup of medium-throughput/high-content imaging assays for compound screening.

Features

  • “Ask The Cell” phenotypic genetic screening with single gene, gene family or druggable-genome scale libraries
  • Compound screening
  • FACS-based and High-throughput/High-Content Imaging based screens
  • Proprietary screening methodology for identifying epi-allelic series of RNAi knockdowns

Example Applications

  • Drug target discovery
  • Dominant genetic effector screens using CellSelectRNAi and CellSelectRegulated can be used to identify genes essential for many different cellular processes. Suitably designed enhancer and suppressor screens can sensitively reveal signalling pathways, escape pathways and synthetic lethality.
